Our connectivity models_

IBM Cloud Direct Link is not inherently designed to support redundancy, however BSO has built Cloud Connect with high availability options. If you need this requirement, be sure to highlight this when speaking to us.

Direct link dedicated

A dedicated port with IBM owned by you. We provide connectivity to the port.

Direct link connect

We own the port with IBM, providing a secure and dedicated VLAN for each customer requiring a Direct Link connection in a specific region.

PRICING STRUCTURE

Pricing_

Our Cloud Connect pricing model is identical across all cloud service providers. We charge based on the speed of the connection(s) and the distance from your location to each cloud onramp.

IBM has its own costs that should be considered in addition to BSO's. There are also fees associated with connecting to a cloud using and Internet connection as opposed to Direct Link.

Circuit cost

This is a monthly fee that is charged based on the size of the circuit.

Outbound data cost

A set price perGB for all data leaving your AWS region over Direct Connect. A benefit to Direct Connect is that fees are gA set price per GB for all data leaving your IBM region over Direct Link. A benefit to Direct Link is that these fees are greatly reduced when compared to the egress costs associated with an Internet connection to IBM. Reatly reduced when compared to the egress costs associated with an Internet connection to AWS.
