Network Engineer - Data Center Network Installation

Role Overview

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructures in data centers, with a strong focus on performance, security, and availability.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design and Installation:

• Analyze requirements and design network architecture.
• Install and configure equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
• Perform connectivity and performance tests.
  

Configuration and maintenance:

• Configure network devices with expertise in VLAN, PoE, and BGP.
• Implement security policies (VPN, ACL, etc.).
• Monitor and optimize network performance.
  

Project Management and Documentation:

• Participate in project planning and deployment.
• Draft technical documentation and intervention reports.
  

Support and Incident Resolution:

• Diagnose and resolve Level 2 and 3 incidents.
• Collaborate with operations and cybersecurity teams.
  

Required technical skills

• Expertise in VLAN, PoE, and BGP protocols.
• Strong knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Experience with networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme).
• Background in virtualization and SDN.
• Network security expertise (firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, Fortinet).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Wireshark, Nagios, PRTG).
• Experience with inventory management tools such as NetBox.
  

Preferred profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Networks and Telecommunications.
• Experience in data centers, cabling, and labeling is a plus.
• Preferred certifications: CCNP, JNCIP.
• Strong ability to take initiative and work proactively.
• Problem-solving skills for complex issues.
• Technical English proficiency required.
